Window Cleaning

Pure-water reach-and-wash on the outside, hand-detailed on the inside. Frames, sills and doors included as standard — because the glass never looks right if the frame around it is still dirty.

Clean glass is mostly about the water

Streaks are usually a water problem, not a technique problem. Ordinary tap water in the Dublin area carries dissolved minerals, and when it dries on glass those minerals are what you see. We filter and de-ionise the water before it reaches the brush, so it dries without leaving anything behind and needs no detergent at all.

That system runs through a carbon-fibre pole, which means first, second and third-floor windows are cleaned from the ground — no ladders leaning against your gutters, no one on your roof, and conservatory and dormer glass reachable safely. It also lets us clean frames, sills and the top edge of the glass properly, which is the part ladder-work usually skips.

Inside, poles are the wrong tool. Interior glass is cleaned by hand with a squeegee and microfibre detail, with the sills wiped, floors protected and shoes off or covered. Both together is what actually makes a difference to how much light gets into a room.

Questions

Frequently asked

Why are my windows wet when you leave?

Because pure water needs no detergent and no drying. It has had its minerals removed, so it evaporates and leaves nothing behind. The glass dries clear on its own within an hour or two. If you look at it while it is still wet it will look streaky — it will not be once it dries.

Can you reach upstairs windows?

Yes. Carbon-fibre reach poles let us clean up to roughly the third floor from the ground safely, including dormers, Velux and conservatory roofs. Nothing rests against your gutters or render.

Do you clean the frames and sills too?

Yes, as standard on the outside — the brush scrubs the frame, trim and rubbers every visit. Inside, sills are wiped as part of the clean. Heavily stained or paint-marked frames may need a separate restoration, and we will quote that separately.

Do I need to be home?

Not for exterior cleaning, as long as side gates are unlocked and dogs are secured. Interior cleaning obviously needs access, so we book a time window and text you the day before.

What happens if it rains?

Clean windows are not affected by ordinary rain — rainwater is naturally soft and dries clear on already-clean glass. We only reschedule for high wind, which makes reach poles unsafe, or freezing conditions.

Do you offer regular cleaning rounds?

Yes, on a four, eight or twelve-week cycle, with a discount against the one-off price. There is no contract, we text before each visit, and you can pause or cancel any time.
