Deep-cleaned, not just surface-cleaned
Most carpets look tired long before they are worn out. What you are seeing is a film of oily soil bonded to the fibre — foot traffic, cooking residue, pet dander and street dust that a domestic vacuum simply cannot lift. Rented machines wet the carpet but rarely have the vacuum power to take that soil back out, which is why the marks reappear a week later.
We use professional hot-water extraction. A pre-spray breaks the bond between the soil and the fibre, the pile is agitated so the solution reaches the base, then high-powered extraction rinses and removes the loosened soil along with most of the moisture. Carpets are damp rather than wet and are typically walk-on dry in four to six hours.
The same method works on upholstery, with gentler tooling and a fabric test on a hidden area first. Leather and delicate natural fibres are cleaned by hand with a dedicated system instead.

Frequently asked
How long does a carpet take to dry?
Usually four to six hours for a normal domestic carpet, and you can walk on it in socks straight away. Drying is faster with the heating on and a window open, and slower on thick wool or in a cold, unventilated room. We leave the carpet damp, never soaked.
Is it safe for children and pets?
Yes. We use products that are non-toxic once dry and we rinse the fibre out rather than leaving detergent behind. Tell us in advance if anyone in the house has asthma or a specific allergy and we will use a fragrance-free system.
Will old stains come out?
Most will. Water-based stains such as tea, juice and mud usually lift completely. Dye stains — some red wine, curry, hair dye and pet accidents that have been left for months — can be permanent because the dye has already bonded to the fibre. We tell you honestly what we expect before we start, so there is no surprise at the end.
Do I need to move the furniture?
Move small and breakable items and anything on top of low furniture. We move sofas, chairs and light tables ourselves and place protective pads underneath while the carpet dries. Wardrobes, beds and heavy units are cleaned around unless you ask us to move them.
Can you get rid of pet smell?
In most cases yes. Odour usually comes from urine salts that have reached the backing, so surface cleaning alone will not fix it. We treat the affected area with an enzyme product that breaks the salts down and then extract. Severe, repeated soiling can reach the underlay, and in that case the underlay has to be replaced.
How often should carpets be cleaned?
Once a year for an average home, every six months for a busy family home with pets or children, and every three to six months for offices and rental properties. Regular cleaning also protects the manufacturer's warranty on many carpets.
